VOTERSPLUS

Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 2 October 2026

1. About These Terms

These Terms and Conditions (Terms) govern access to and use of the VotersPlus websites, mobile applications, candidate portal, campaign tools, voter and canvasser services, and related products and features (together, the Service). The Service is operated by VOTERSPLUS CIVIC INITIATIVE CONCEPTS (VotersPlus, we, us, or our).

By creating an account, accepting these Terms, or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not create an account or use the Service.

2. Eligibility and Authority

VotersPlus may be used by voters, canvassers, candidates, politicians, campaign managers, campaign organisations, and any lawfully registered political party in Nigeria through its authorised officials or representatives, regardless of political affiliation. Access remains subject to these Terms, applicable law, verification, and the availability of relevant platform features. You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into an agreement to create an individual account. If you use VotersPlus for a campaign, organisation, candidate, or political party, you confirm that you are authorised to act for it and to bind it to these Terms.

3. What VotersPlus Provides

VotersPlus is a civic-engagement and campaign-management technology platform. Features may include campaign creation, invitations and referral links, canvasser assignments, voter registration and verification, campaign communications, surveys, town halls, reports and AI-assisted observations, election-day monitoring, polling-unit result-sheet uploads, airtime, rewards, and payouts.

VotersPlus is not the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), a political party, or an electoral authority. Unless expressly stated, VotersPlus does not endorse a candidate, party, campaign, ideology, election result, or user-submitted claim.

4. Accounts and Security

You must provide accurate, current, and complete information and keep it updated. You are responsible for protecting your password, device, verification codes, and account access. You may not share credentials, create an account for an impersonated or fictitious person, evade verification, or access another person's account without authority. Notify us promptly at hello@votersplus.com if you suspect unauthorised access.

5. Identity and Voter Verification

We may request information such as a name, photograph, telephone number, NIN, VIN, voter card, location, polling unit, or identification document to verify identity, eligibility, location, or account uniqueness. Providing false, altered, stolen, or misleading information is prohibited. Verification indicates that specified checks were completed; it is not a guarantee of a user's identity, conduct, political claim, or eligibility under every applicable law.

6. Voters

Voters may join or follow campaigns, receive information, take part in permitted civic activities, surveys, and town halls, and use other available features. Joining a campaign does not oblige a voter to support or vote for a candidate. Voters remain free to make their own political choices and may engage with multiple campaigns where the Service permits.

7. Canvassers and Assisted Registration

Canvassers must act lawfully, honestly, and within authorised campaign assignments. Before registering another person, a canvasser must explain the relevant use of VotersPlus, show or provide access to these Terms and the Privacy Policy, obtain the person's informed agreement, and accurately record the person's own details and polling location. A canvasser must not register anyone without permission, retain identity documents outside approved processes, misstate consent, fabricate activity, or use campaign data for an unauthorised purpose.

8. Political Parties, Candidates, Politicians, and Campaign Managers

Any lawfully registered political party in Nigeria may use VotersPlus, regardless of its political affiliation, ideology, size, or electoral position. Parties may use the Service through authorised officials, administrators, candidates, and campaign teams to organise campaigns, coordinate canvassers, communicate with voters, monitor authorised political activities, and use other available party or campaign-management features. VotersPlus applies its platform rules without favouring or excluding a party because of its political affiliation.

A political party is responsible for the accounts and representatives it authorises and for ensuring that their use of the Service complies with these Terms and applicable law. Campaign operators are responsible for their campaign content, invitations, geographic scope, authorised personnel, communications, instructions, budgets, rewards, and compliance with electoral, advertising, communications, employment, tax, anti-bribery, and data-protection laws. They must not use VotersPlus for voter intimidation, suppression, unlawful profiling, discrimination, deceptive communications, vote buying, or improper inducements.

9. Campaign Links and Geographic Eligibility

Campaign and canvasser links may connect eligible users to a campaign. A link does not override campaign jurisdiction, election scope, verification, approval, or other eligibility rules. We may reject, remove, or correct a campaign association when a user's declared and verified geography does not fit the campaign.

10. Communications

The Service may deliver account notices, campaign updates, broadcasts, surveys, town-hall invitations, election reminders, reward updates, and security messages by app notification, email, SMS, or another available channel. Campaign users must have a lawful basis to contact recipients and must respect applicable opt-out rights. Essential security, account, transaction, and legal messages may still be sent.

11. Airtime, Cash Rewards, Fees, and Payouts

Campaigns may fund and distribute airtime or cash rewards through supported providers. Displayed balances, charges, provider fees, VotersPlus service fees, eligibility rules, minimums, limits, and processing times may apply and will be shown or communicated where relevant. Fees may be charged per recipient or transaction. A reward shown as pending or processing is not completed until confirmed by the relevant provider.

We may delay, reverse, reconcile, or refund a transaction where a provider reports failure, duplication, fraud, technical error, insufficient funding, or invalid recipient details. Users are responsible for supplying correct telephone, network, bank, and account information. We do not guarantee that a provider will complete every transfer immediately.

12. Election-Day Data and Result Sheets

Authorised users may submit accreditation, turnout, observations, and images of publicly issued polling-unit result sheets. Submissions must be accurate, lawfully obtained, unaltered, and limited to the assigned or authorised location. Information displayed by VotersPlus is for campaign monitoring and civic transparency and does not replace official results declared by INEC or another legally authorised body.

13. AI-Assisted Features

AI-assisted analyses may summarise campaign data and suggest observations. They can be incomplete or incorrect and are not legal, electoral, financial, security, or professional advice. Users must review outputs, apply independent judgment, and avoid relying on them as the sole basis for a high-impact decision.

14. Acceptable Use

You must not use the Service to break the law; threaten, harass, intimidate, suppress, bribe, or unlawfully discriminate against voters; buy votes; impersonate another person; publish private information; upload malware or unlawful content; scrape or sell data without authority; interfere with security or availability; manipulate metrics, referrals, verification, rewards, or results; reverse engineer protected parts of the Service; or help anyone do these things.

15. User Content

You retain ownership of content you lawfully submit. You grant VotersPlus a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, reproduce, process, adapt for technical display, and share that content only as reasonably necessary to operate, secure, improve, and provide the Service and meet legal obligations. You confirm that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit the content. We may remove content that violates these Terms or the law.

16. VotersPlus Intellectual Property

The Service, brand, software, interfaces, designs, documentation, and content supplied by VotersPlus are owned by or licensed to VotersPlus and protected by applicable law. Except for the limited right to use the Service under these Terms, no intellectual-property rights are transferred to you.

17. Third-Party Services

The Service may depend on payment processors, banks, telecoms, airtime providers, cloud hosting, maps, messaging, analytics, AI providers, app stores, and other third parties. Their separate terms and policies may apply. We are not responsible for an independent third party's acts, outages, decisions, fees, or content, but we will take reasonable steps to reconcile supported transactions and address service issues within our control.

18. Availability and Changes

We aim to keep VotersPlus reliable but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability. Features may be changed, suspended, limited, or discontinued for maintenance, security, legal, provider, operational, or product reasons. We may release updates and require a supported app version where reasonably necessary for security or compatibility.

19. Suspension and Termination

We may restrict, suspend, or terminate access when we reasonably believe there is fraud, unlawful activity, risk to users or the Service, a material breach of these Terms, non-payment, misuse of campaign or voter information, or a legal requirement. Where appropriate, we may provide notice and an opportunity to respond. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion, subject to lawful retention described in the Privacy Policy.

20. Disclaimers

The Service is provided on an “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. VotersPlus does not guarantee electoral outcomes, campaign success, voter behaviour, the truth of all user content, acceptance of a candidate by an authority, uninterrupted provider performance, or the accuracy of unofficial election-day submissions. Nothing in these Terms excludes a warranty or right that cannot lawfully be excluded.

21. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, VotersPlus will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, punitive, or consequential loss, loss of profit, opportunity, goodwill, or data arising from use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for a claim will not exceed the amount paid by the claimant to VotersPlus for the affected Service during the six months before the event giving rise to the claim, unless applicable law requires otherwise. This section does not limit liability that cannot legally be limited.

22. Indemnity

To the extent permitted by law, campaign operators and organisational users agree to defend and indemnify VotersPlus against third-party claims, losses, and reasonable costs arising from their unlawful campaign activity, content, instructions, data collection, communications, rewards, or material breach of these Terms.

23. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, protect, and retain personal information and how users may exercise data-protection rights. It forms part of the terms governing use of the Service.

24. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, the Service, providers, security, or business practices. We will update the date above and may provide additional notice for material changes. Where required, we will request fresh acceptance. Continued use after the effective date of an update constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.

25. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a concern informally. If a dispute cannot be resolved, the courts of competent jurisdiction in Nigeria will have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory right or dispute process under applicable law.

26. General

If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain effective. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms without our consent. We may transfer these Terms as part of a restructuring, financing, merger, acquisition, or sale, subject to applicable law. These Terms and the Privacy Policy form the agreement between you and VotersPlus concerning the Service.
